About Azamara Onward

Azamara Onward became the fourth ship in the Azamara fleet in 2022, after the line became independent, and she received a thorough refresh before her first sailing. Like her sisters, she is one of the classic R-class ships, small enough to dock close to town in many ports and to stay late or overnight, which is Azamara’s calling card. Her interiors are warm and residential, with intimate lounges, a pool deck that never feels crowded and a forward observation lounge for sail-aways. Onward sails a broad mix of itineraries, with Mediterranean summers and longer voyages that favor smaller, less-visited ports.

Best for: Travelers who want more time in port and a relaxed, small-ship atmosphere with drinks included.

Sailing with Azamara

Azamara is an upscale small-ship line built around “destination immersion”: longer port stays, frequent overnights and late departures so you can see places in the evening. Its four ships carry around 700 guests, and fares include select drinks, gratuities and, on most longer voyages, a private evening event ashore. It suits well-traveled adults who want relaxed, port-focused cruising, less so families or entertainment seekers.
