About Carnival Firenze
Carnival Firenze started out in 2020 as Costa Firenze and joined Carnival in 2024, bringing “Carnival Fun Italian Style” to the West Coast. Its interiors celebrate Florence and the Italian Renaissance, giving it a more elegant look than most Carnival ships, while the pool deck and menus bring in line favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint and the BlueIguana Cantina. Firenze has sailed from Long Beach, California, on Mexico itineraries, so it is an easy option for Southern California families. It’s also one of the larger ships sailing short Mexico trips from the West Coast.
Best for: Southern California families who want a bigger, newer ship for a Mexico getaway from Long Beach.
