About Nieuw Statendam

Nieuw Statendam is the middle sister of the Pinnacle class, arriving in 2018 with the lessons of Koningsdam already built in. She feels a touch more confident in her design, with flowing curves, musical references in the art and lighting, and public rooms that move easily from quiet daytime spaces to busy evening venues. Holland America used her to give its French seafood brasserie, Rudi’s Sel de Mer, a full-time home, and her rock-music room brought a louder late-night option to a line better known for piano bars. She often sails the Caribbean in winter and Europe in summer.

Best for: Couples and multigenerational groups who want a modern, music-filled ship that still keeps Holland America’s gracious, low-key style.
