About Rotterdam
Rotterdam is Holland America Line’s flagship and the seventh ship to carry a name that goes back to the line’s very first vessel in 1872. The third and final Pinnacle-class ship, she refines what Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam started: warm, contemporary Dutch-inflected interiors, live music from early evening until late, and a calm, unhurried pace. Classic touches such as afternoon tea and a forward Crow’s Nest lounge sit alongside modern venues like the World Stage. She’s regularly given showcase itineraries, from transatlantic crossings and northern Europe to the Caribbean, which suits her role as the fleet’s standard-bearer.
Best for: Travelers who want the most refined of Holland America’s Pinnacle-class ships, strong live music and polished service without the crowds and gimmicks of a mega-ship.
