About Oosterdam

Oosterdam is the second Vista-class ship, entering service in 2003 and sharing her sisters’ balanced, mid-sized design. Most outside cabins have verandas, the main dining room spans two decks at the stern, and the Crow’s Nest offers a quiet perch for reading or watching the coastline. She has a slightly more contemporary art collection than the older R-class ships and has been refreshed with Holland America’s current dining concepts. Oosterdam has spent many seasons on the West Coast, sailing to Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska, and has also been based in Europe, so check her current home port before you plan.

Best for: Couples and retirees who like a classic, easygoing ship and value comfortable cabins over flashy onboard attractions.
