About AIDAmar
AIDAmar is the sixth of AIDA’s Sphinx-class ships, entering service in 2012 with the larger hull introduced on AIDAblu. She delivers the classic AIDA club-ship experience for German-speaking travelers: open-seating buffet restaurants included in the fare, à la carte options at extra cost, a busy pool deck and a relaxed, informal crowd. Evenings revolve around the Theatrium, where shows, live music and parties unfold on a stage open to three decks, and her onboard brewery serves freshly made beer with hearty German dishes. Sports fans will find a court on the top deck, and the Kids Club keeps younger guests busy on sea days.
Best for: German-speaking families who want a lively, mid-sized ship with included buffet dining and a casual vibe.

It runs casual, buffet-centered “club ships,” recognizable by the red lips painted on every bow. North Americans who don’t speak German will feel like outsiders, so this line suits German speakers and adventurous travelers who want an immersive European experience.
