About Anthem of the Seas
Anthem of the Seas, the second Quantum-class ship, arrived in 2015 and spent several years as a New York-area favorite, sailing from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey, to Bermuda, the Bahamas and New England. It has also sailed from Southampton in the UK. Its indoor-friendly design suits northern routes, with Two70’s wall of windows, SeaPlex for bumper cars and roller skating, and RipCord by iFLY for a taste of skydiving. The Solarium is a calm, adults-only pool under a glass roof, which helps on chilly northern sailings. It’s a smart choice if you want modern features without an Oasis-size crowd.
Best for: Northeast cruisers and anyone sailing cooler-weather routes who want modern Royal Caribbean features indoors.

Sailing with Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean is the big-ship, high-activity line: surf simulators, water slides, ice rinks and Broadway shows on some of the largest cruise ships ever built. It suits families, groups and active couples who want a floating resort and a private-island beach day, and it’s less suited to anyone who wants quiet, small ships or an all-inclusive fare.
