About Mariner of the Seas
Mariner of the Seas closed out the Voyager class in 2003 and was among the first older ships to get the full Royal Amplified treatment in 2018. That refit added new waterslides, laser tag and refreshed bars and restaurants, bringing it closer to the line’s newer ships. Its three- and four-night Bahamas runs from Florida, usually with a day at Perfect Day at CocoCay, have introduced plenty of families to cruising. The classic class features remain, from the Royal Promenade to the ice rink and rock-climbing wall.
Best for: First-time cruisers and families who want a short, energetic Bahamas trip with a CocoCay beach day.

Sailing with Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean is the big-ship, high-activity line: surf simulators, water slides, ice rinks and Broadway shows on some of the largest cruise ships ever built. It suits families, groups and active couples who want a floating resort and a private-island beach day, and it’s less suited to anyone who wants quiet, small ships or an all-inclusive fare.
