About Utopia of the Seas

Utopia of the Seas, the sixth Oasis-class ship, arrived in 2024 and was designed for one job: short, social getaways from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas, usually with a day at Perfect Day at CocoCay. It keeps the class’s neighborhood layout, with Central Park’s open-air garden, the Boardwalk and the AquaTheater at the stern, and adds Royal Railway – Utopia Station, a dinner that feels like a train journey. It is also the first Oasis-class ship to run on LNG. On three- and four-night trips the ship fills up fast, so reserve shows and dining before you board.

Best for: Groups of friends, couples and families who want a long weekend at sea with Oasis-class entertainment and a CocoCay beach day.

Utopia of the Seas highlights

  • The Ultimate Abyss, a corkscrew dry slide that drops ten decks
  • Pesky Parrot, a tiki bar on the pool deck
  • Lou’s Jazz ’n Blues, a live-music lounge
  • AquaTheater high-diving shows at the end of the Boardwalk

Sailing with Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean is the big-ship, high-activity line: surf simulators, water slides, ice rinks and Broadway shows on some of the largest cruise ships ever built. It suits families, groups and active couples who want a floating resort and a private-island beach day, and it’s less suited to anyone who wants quiet, small ships or an all-inclusive fare.
